The Dream Africa association based in Nantes (France) is a student association created in May 2019. It was created by Élya Potot who is a student of Applied Foreign Languages and Law at the University of Nantes. It is made up of 8 members including 6 active members.
Our main objective is to contribute to the development of education in Africa. Indeed, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use To changer The world” (as “Education is the most powerful weapon we can use to change the world” in French) as Nelson Mandela says (1918 – 2013), statesman and former South African president.
It is very important for us to empower those who need it, to educate themselves because it is the most powerful weapon they will have to cultivate throughout their lives. Education brings together learning to write and read, learning the history of your country and your country but also that of others, but above all it allows you to open your eyes to what is going on in the world and making up your own mind. This is what we want to offer to all those who need it through our various actions.
The association is currently working on its first objective which is to set up a library in a disadvantaged school, Saint KIZITO, in the city of Boma in the Democratic Republic of Congo. In the future, we want to carry out other projects like this that can help bring better access to education on our continent.
Our association wants to transmit a message of solidarity, charity, and development in order to carry out our mission.
